It is a good time to buy altcoins -at the moment- because the price is already way down from ATH and in the upcoming alt season, if these coins reach near to their ATH you will get good profit. Altcoin investment should be for the short term with a few exceptions. I suggest you do your research and select the coin according to your investment budget. In my opinion, Solana, Matic, TON, DOGE, and SHIBA are good options to invest in.
Telegram's founder and CEO was arrested a few days ago. I doubt there will be a future for TON, unless the community continues to support the coin as usual. Such negative events could have long-lasting effects over TON's market price. Investing in it now, would be a risky move. It might be a good time to look for other options.
