Dani Olmo was outstanding and helped Barcelona get a win over Rayo Vallecano. They have been consistent in winning their first 3 La Liga matches. I hope this can continue to be consistent with their performance. At first I doubted they would be able to compete with Real Madrid because Barcelona really has a bad financial condition. They can hardly even bring in a single player because of their huge debt. But finally they were able to get Olmo. I think I am optimistic that Barcelona will be a title contender with Real Madrid. Barcelona's impressive performance will make El Classico interesting to watch again.
Dani Olmo is a good player but position and importance of a player can change very quickly. It's true with Olmo's position in Spanish national team in Euro 2024 when he began that tournament as an alternative player on bench, then the injury of Pedri changed all.
Now Olmo joined Barcelona with massive expectation from the club, had good early performance for them but he might maintain his good performance for them or lose his good form, it's very uncertain future. In addition, in modern football, tactical operation as an united team with contributions from many players, is more important than an individual performance of a single star player. Olmo has less quality than Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo and he won't be able to carry Barcelona to titles by himself in either La Liga or Champions League. Winning one or two El Classico matches is possible but winning big titles with many matches needs more than only Dani Olmo.
