- Free entry won't matter much unless spectators are interested. In the good old days, Pindi used to set the stage on fire with jam packed stadium but it's not the case anymore as far as test cricket is concerned due to various reasons.
Agreed! The Rawalpindi crowd was energetic in the past few test series, but in the 1st test match, the majority of the stands were empty. I think the Pakistan cricket team's bad performances after one another might have fueled this behaviour.
I wasn't referring to a recent home series per se (last 3-4 years, in the context of full house) but a decade back or so.
Even with the recent series against SENA countries Pindi hardly saw any significant attendance. Political turmoil is part of it but I won't go there, apart from that pitch did play a big part. I will blame the brain dead management, Rambo (Ramiz) mainly because he started this and ofc lousy performance from the Pak team didn't help their cause either. They failed to win any match in the last 8-9 test matches.
