In the second game, Jaffna won the match by 4 wickets against Colombo. After the early collapse of the Colombo's top order, the middle order stood up to the task and the batsmen played handy knocks to get to a respectable total of 268. Isitha Wijesundara was exceptional with his bowling and took 5 wickets. In response, Jaffna's top order played brilliantly and with some support from the middle order they chased down the target with ease. An exceptional opening partnership of 147 runs took the game away from Colombo.
This is the achievement of their hard work and Jaffna is still a strong and well perform team. And they have quite good pace batsmen too. The target was good and tough for their batsmen but their batsmen won the match by playing 48 overs. Colombo batsmen have also worked hard but their bowlers have not done as well as they should have done, if they had stop this run they could have won the match as their given target was quite good and strong. Jaffna bowler has also not worked so hard, but on bowler has left no stone unturned in taking wickets. And have been stopping a lot of runs too.
