Some of the countries in South Eastern Asia are experiencing insecurity problems. Terrorists, separatists and armed religious groups are attacking some of these countries. Entrepreneurs are always attracted to countries where their lives and business is secured.
I think you're overstating the security challenges faced by these countries or you're mistaking them for Middle East Asia. Yeah, I agree the security in south-east Asia is not as that of the Europeans and North Americans but they're not as bad as you say.
In 2022 ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) recorded $224 billion in FDI (foreign direct investment). This is to show that foreign investors are not scared of doing business in the region, They are one of the fastest growing regions economically.

No, I was not discussing the Middle East. But your observations are true, indeed I overestimated the security issues in these countries. I allowed the Myanmar Civil War to influence my conclusion. Watching a recent documentary which exposed the genocide of the Muslim Rohingya people by the military of Myanmar affected my mindset. Immediately I saw Myanmar on the list, I just recalled how insecure it is.  However, a quick research about the countries mentioned showed that most of them are relatively peaceful apart from Myanmar which is fighting a civil war. Some of these Southeast Asian countries are now trading partners of the US since the strain between China and America.
