i take no sides in any war/crime. but rationally..lets talk without the emotional buzzwords

preserving the bodies of the deceased is alot better then(for instance) throwing bin ladens body into the ocean never to be seen again and no proof he actually died that can be independently verified

however international diplomacy and such in regards to wars, dont really have a law where opposing sides can just walk into the enemies ground to collect bodies unless there was a mutual ceasefire agreed period, which the bodies should then be passed across or be treated as a war crime if truly 'held hostage'
