FT Arsenal 1:1 Brighton
The score ended in a draw where the home team was slightly disadvantaged because Declan Rice had to get a red card, overall Brighton was able to match Arsenal game. This means that Brighton now has quite a troublesome strength, Arsenal looked difficult to penetrate the defense built by Fabian Hürzeler as a new coach he managed to present an effective strategy. I was quite surprised because Arsenal were favored to win, but a draw was not what Arteta wanted.
The red card changed the whole dimension of the game. Declan Rice is too experienced to make such a silly mistake. His single error cost Arsenal the game and may cost them the league title. In the last two seasons, Arsenal have lost the league title to Manchester City by just a few points. Arsenal should know by now that every point matters. This loss might just come to haunt Arsenal by the end of the season. I still believe Arsenal has what it takes to win the league.
The match was a draw and I don't see why the outcome of this match will affect their future at the end of the season. It is quite sad to see Arsenal drop point this early but they can still win the league if they don't drop anymore points. But if they continue dropping points, it shows that they will not win the league.
City will also drop points as the season passes on and whoever drops more points limits their chances of winning the league. A red card means a lot to a club when the match has not reached 90mins. Brighton was able to make proper use of the advantage they had over Arsenal but they could not steal all three points.
