I want to ask a simple question why did he go to France? When he knows currently the whole of Europe is against him and his country of origin then why did he go to a country that is known for its stupid laws?
Maybe he felt it would be better to face these charges than to keep running away from prosecution. There is also speculation that he was invited personally by French President Emmanuel Macron but he has denied such a report.
He is free now! He had to pay a significant amount to get himself free. I am certain that his arrest and his being out of jail after payment is something related to the war. It will be the only time, that we may see him residing in the US without any problem.
He had to pay €5 million as bail, will not leave France and will have to report to the police every two weeks. He seems to have some backups from two countries since he is a citizen of France, UAE and Russia. He will surely be indicted and sentenced with an option to pay a huge fine.
