Chelsea has started its inconsistent run like it has done for the past two seasons. They had a good game against Wolves and had to settle for a draw today. They had seven shots on target but got just one goal. Nicolas Jackson scored today, which indicates that he has started improving but he has to be more clinical. They were able to defeat Wolves because they maximized most of the chances they had but today was different. Eberechi Eze took advantage of the slight opportunity Crystal Palace had to score a very beautiful goal. Chelsea is currently occupying the eleventh position making it look like sacking Mauricio Pochettino was a mistake.
Yes indeed, they have started it again this season and it’s so frustrating for me because the day i decided to have faith in them and bet on the team is the days they decide to play a sluggish stagnant football. The way they played against Wolves was different, they were playing more backwards and didn’t really push to score goals especially in the second half, the players were casual and lost lots of possession, the build up today was very slow and was the reason they lost control of the game despite scoring first. They are improving but the players need to be more passionate about their game it will help them maintain confidence and consistency.
If they had won today it would have been great but it is still too early to think Pochettino being sacked was a mistake, all they need to do is learn from their mistake and improve their game.
