Oh, that and so many other things as well.  Come to think of it, I haven't read an entertaining, excuse- and apology-filled ban appeal thread in quite some time.  A year and a half ago or thereabouts Meta used to be filled with them, but those types of threads have become kind of scarce.  Has anyone else noticed that or is it just me?

GreatOrchid, regardless of the fairness of the forum, it doesn't apply in your case unless you get rejected after pointing out a substantially constructive post you've made (as others have pointed out to you).  Personally I think this offer of a second chance is being way too soft on banned members, and a permaban should truly be permanent.  I'd wish you good luck, but that would be insincere.
