Whenever we talk about the sentiments we always say that the person who loses in gambling is always sad and depressed.
I am not saying anything against this argument but there are times when the gambler wins and also win good and they are too much happy about the progress. A very few people discuss about this and only talk about the negativity they found in gambling.
Gambling is the game of probabilities and luck and you will face both success and failure in it, so nothing to be worry about if you loses at times.
The belief by some people that people who lose in gambling are always depressed is not totally correct. Depression is an extreme case of anger and disappointment and I have not experienced it in the few years I have gambled. A depressed person will have a persistent feeling of sadness or anger which will lead to a loss of interest in activities the person once enjoyed. I believe such feelings can be associated with either gambling addiction or over-gambling.
If you gamble within your means and lose, the pain or disappointment won't last for a long time, so it cannot be called depression. Gambling is not all about loss, sometimes one also wins. That is why it is important to manage your wins because it can help you cover up for losses. My fried will always advise me to maximize my wins because rainy days in gambling may be long and lonely sometimes.
