I think is better they (Bayer Leverkusen) lose the game at least one game and for those who are waiting and hoping for them to lose to have a rest of mind. To say the truth they need to be ready for something different and let that winning streak end ones and for all so that they (Leverkusen) can focus on something important like the league games and also the champions league games. If they still have that winning streak going on they won't concentrate on the game at hand but maintaining that unbeaten streak in the Bundesliga and it will affect their style of play.
Kompany can only go ahead of Leverkusen only if Xabi allows that to happen, I don't want a situation where we have to see Leverkusen struggling for steam because from the games both Bayern and Leverkusen have played I can only see Bayern Munich still struggling to meet up and I won't want to see the champions having say issue.
Leipzig is not a team that will give up so easily and even losing 2-0 they did not stop and were able to score three goals and snatch the victory. Bayer's dominance was very significant, but Leipzig chose a counter-attack strategy and it worked for them, although they managed to score goals from difficult positions that day, but Opend's skill brought results. Maybe for Bayer it will also be a relief when they no longer pay attention to another unbeaten streak, let it all remain in the past, and now they need to think about the new season. I think they will beat Hoffenheim and Wolfsburg, and then they will have a match with Bayern, it will be an important confrontation.
That Leipzig game was awesome. Two goals down was no problem for them. They flipped the script on Bayer. You gotta hand it to them, using counter-attacks against a possession-heavy team like Bayer? Thats smart football.
And of course, Bayern's sitting pretty now. Leverkusen dropping points gives them a nice cushion, and that mental edge is huge. But let's not count Leverkusen out just yet. Sometimes losing that "unbeaten" pressure can light a fire under a team. Their next few games will tell us a lot. If they can bounce back strong, that Bayern matchup could be a real showdown.
This is why we love the beautiful game. Its unpredictable, its exciting, and it keeps us on the edge of our seats. Leipzig just proved that anything can happen, and thats what makes it so great.
