we as active gamblers today, already know how difficult it is to deal with gambling addiction. so as much as possible we must be able to limit and control ourselves so as not to get addicted.
While the thread might have crafted addiction to be the main cause of gambling losses,
I’m out here thinking, not having to gamble responsibly is what causes gambling losses.
There are those that treat gambling like a career and have a high level of objectivism about it. Addiction might have hit them to that place but, it doesn’t necessarily mean they are loosing. People don’t build a career based on losses. Not saying gambling is a career but, some profitable gamblers do see it that way.
Basically addiction is not the cause of defeat, because regardless of whether you are addicted or a responsible gambler, defeat will always be part of the game, it can never be avoided because gambling is a risky game. But when a gambler has entered the addiction phase, usually the level of defeat is always much greater because of the many actions that tend to be excessive and that is why we must prepare various prevention methods to avoid this cycle.
Regarding career, I think it is a misunderstanding, gambling is nothing more than a playground when you have boring free time, meaning there should be no seriousness in setting goals other than just looking for entertainment, the goal of building a career will only make sense when placed in a place that can be learned.
