Al Ittihad did table an offer to sign Arsenal winger Trossard before the end of the summer transfer window in the Middle East but it's now being confirmed that Arsenal have rejected the offer as they want their man to continue at the club. Popular sports journalist Fabrizio Romano reported that Al Ittihad will now turn their attention to FC Porto as they try to sign the Portuguese club's winger Galeno. With these late move for wingers, it's obvious that Al Ittihad management have seen the need to get a winger before the end of the transfer window. This doesn't seem believable to me. Trossad is quite a talented player. Even last season he scored 12 goals in Arsenal jersey. I don't think he will play in the Saudi Pro League, a competitive league like the Premier League right now.
Saudi League is trying to raise the standard of their league. For this they are trying to buy players at high prices. But from what I have heard, Al Ittihad Club has made an unofficial offer to add Trossad to the squad. But Arsenal rejected the offer.

As far as I know Arsenal club is not interested in AL Ittihad's offer. Even Trossad himself is not happy with this proposal. Maybe Ittihad will pay higher wages. But the Saudi league is not competitive. If Trossad leaves the Arsenal club, his next destination is likely to be Serie A or La Liga. At only 29 years old, Trossad will definitely not want to play in the Saudi Pro League.
