I never knew the real money was in altcoins and shitcoins. Bitcoin is simply for rich investors. If you're just starting out in cryptocurrency investing, it's best to ignore Bitcoin and the hype it receives on this forum. The secret to making any money from crypto is NOT bitcoin. Research, test, and see for yourself.
This post isn't something Bitcoin maximalists will want to hear they are likely to be very upset with you. The irony is that there are very few genuine Bitcoin maximalists out there. The so-called Bitcoin maximalist movement on social media is mostly a tactic to discourage and distract people from gaining a solid stake in altcoins while they secretly accumulate them, planning to bull trap smaller investors. However, once this bull market ends, you should watch for Bitcoin's dip and find a good entry point, as that will be the best time to invest not now.
I am not a bitcoin maximalist and I also invest partly in altcoins but I disagree with OP's statement. First: because bitcoin is for everyone, not just for the rich. Anyone can invest and make profit from it but the truth is that the profit from bitcoin is not as big as many altcoins give us. Second, it is true that investing in altcoins is not that bad because it can bring us more profits but that is only true when we find quality projects. Altcoins can be highly profitable but they are also very risky and we can even lose everything if we invest in the wrong project, so it cannot be said that the real money is in altcoins.
To me, it would be a bad idea for someone to invest only in altcoins without having bitcoin in their portfolio.
