Haaland this season really immediately stole everyone's attention. Because he immediately appeared to be the sharpest player in scoring goals. Last season he experienced a slight decline. And I think this season Haaland will really return to his best performance, just like in the season when Man City won the UCL. And I think he can get all of that thanks to Man City having many other great players who can also help Haaland to score more goals. Almost all of Man City's midfielders are very reliable. And this happened as a result of this team not making many changes. So they can perfect what they lacked last season. Liverpool also performed extraordinary because they made no changes this season. They used the existing squad from last season and the results were extraordinary.
Haaland's goals per game ratio last season in the Premier League decreased slightly compared to his first season. Of course that is true, but last season Haaland was absent in several matches which made him lose his sharpness. However, it is not as bad as imagined, Haaland was still able to score 27 goals in 31 appearances last season which kept him from retaining the title of top scorer in the Premier League.
This season Haaland has had a perfect start to the season. He scored 2 hat-tricks in 3 matches or scored 7 goals in 3 appearances. Haaland has really been a goal machine that has been very difficult to stop since his arrival at Manchester City, in fact I think he will maintain his top scoring record in a row for up to 3 seasons.
