Slot didn't change anything in Liverpool and they play better than Manchester United, who again spent a lot of money on new transfers, but certainly didn't get better. Their new acquisition De Ligt played a very weak match, perhaps Kompany was right to say that he doesn't count on this defender, ten Hag replaced him in the 69th minute. And Onana remains the same, good matches are followed by disastrous ones, nothing new, the same problems and it seems to me that Manchester United should have thought about changing the goalkeeper a long time ago.
Yeah Arne Slot didn't change anything at Liverpool because already they have been built by Jurgen Klopp so they are continuing in that same spirit and Arne Slot is just comfortable with the way Liverpool is, and for Onana I don't know what Eric Ten Haag saw in Onana that they bought players without thinking about the goal stopper, Onana have been very disastrous for Manchester United yet they haven't seen any reason to consider signing a new goal keeper. It's not about just buying players but knowing the right places and the right players to sign that is what really matters and for De Light, his performance is just Zero. Already when Manchester United won Fulham and lost to Brighton I said that they are going to repeat what they did last season by winning and losing matches and that is exactly what is happening to them.
United is not a club that does well during transfers, they spend hundreds of millions of dollars every single year and they get bad results every single year, so it is not a shock that they did purchased so many players for so much money again and yet they are not doing well.
I guess that when Yoro comes back that will help their defense a bit, and with more time the defense will adjust to each other so they will be better than they currently are, but that doesn't mean that we are going to end up with a good result overall, they will end terribly. We should consider that this could be something that will take a while for them to recover, it is not really a good thing and we could consider this to be a big problem for United in the near future.
