When a club is performing poorly, the first person to be blamed is the coach, because he is in control of the players. If a particular player is performing poorly, then he should be replaced, but if the coach doesn’t do that, then at the end he will be blamed. There are some players that we know are not really ready to play for the club, I don’t know why Ten Hag keeps on making use of them when you have better options on the bench.
A manager has a responsibility to give the best results for the team and that is how he manages the squad he has. When there is a bad situation like a bad performance or a bad day like injuries to many key players, the manager has a responsibility to deal with and resolve the situation. I am not saying it is the manager's fault. I am saying a manager needs to take responsibility for what happens to his team. The manager must know how to put each player in the best position. And most importantly the manager must have tactics that suit the style of play of his team.
