Honestly speaking, when Manchester United make any mistake the blame is always on Ten hag because that’s how it’s suppose to be. I had this same discussion with a friend about Manchester United and the opportunity Rashford get always despite his poor performance, I think Ten Hag is sending a warning and a last chance before making any move, Manchester United need a strict coach right now not the one that will be considerate that’s the reason Arteta and his boys keep performing good despite the recent game. Just watch out The next match Arsenal will play against Tottenham, Arteta will never hesitate to bench a player who performed poorly previously but, when it comes to United Ten hag always act different.
If a team is doing well, who are they going to appreciate? Is it not the head coach? As Manchester City is winning different trophies, who are people appreciating? Is it not Guardiola? So, as for Manchester United, as they are performing poorly, isn't it the work of Ten Hag? Because if he had been doing the right thing, I don't think Manchester United's performances would remain so weak. As a coach, you own almost every decision in the team, and nobody will question you.I don't think Ten Hag should blame Rashford for not performing well because he has the right to bench him. He has given Rashford many opportunities, but still, he is not improving. The best option is to bench him. How can a good coach keep playing a player that is not performing well? That means even Ten Hag might not know his job perfectly. As a coach, you don’t need to pity or treat any player like family because it will put your job at risk.
As for Arteta, I think he knows his job, and that’s the reason why he doesn’t tolerate any nonsense from any player. That is the best thing any coach should do. I think Arteta learned that from Guardiola. Once a coach discovers that a player is no longer in good form, the best thing is to replace him with another player, not give him too many opportunities to see whether he will improve. If a coach continues like that, the player will think he is doing well, and that’s why the coach continues using him. But when he starts sitting on the bench for a long time, he will surely work on himself if he is serious.
