I see this as a clear opportunity for Erik ten Hag and his team to find the joy of victory again. Evidence Southampton still has no points with 3 losses so far.
I have no confidence yet that Manchester United will be winning the match they will be playing against Southampton. I won’t be surprised if Manchester United ends up playing a draw in the match again, because we know how useless the team is currently, and they are struggling even when playing against weaker teams, so Southampton is another team that will give Manchester United difficult time. Even if Manchester United ends up winning the match, then it’s going to be like a goal difference.
Let’s just assume Manchester United wins the match. I don’t think that should even give them joy, winning a club like Southampton shouldn’t even be giving Manchester United fans joy. A club that’s supposed to be competing against strong clubs is struggling to win weak teams, they should be ashamed even if they get a win in the match.
