At the beginning of this season, Real Madrid was really unlucky because the list of injuries to their players continued to grow, even though they still had some players they could rely on, but Carlo Anceloti still had to rearrange his strategy, especially since this season they would be busier than previous seasons. The players would experience fatigue and, perhaps, at worst, injury, so the coach had to be smart in rotating players so that they could continue to fight until the end.

Unfortunately, this is not surprising - last season was too long for Real Madrid players, considering that modern footballers are already playing at the limit of their capabilities, such abnormal loads make themselves felt. It is clear why Perez wants to assemble almost two squads - for top clubs this is a necessity and not a whim. If we are to be positive, we must remember that last season for Real also started with a large number of injuries, but in the end everything worked out and the season turned out to be excellent.
It's really pitiable that the list literally have to grow this long for Madrid, this was one of the reasons at some point it did appeared like they had a plan to get a perfect second squad that will be as good as the first because they were trying to make preparations for situations as this to be able to still cope with it and not have issues around situations as this. Even with the large list of injuries last season, Madrid stil was very productive, win the league title, win the champions League and still lost only one game in the la Liga.
