Except for waiting for the next few matches when Brighton will face Liverpool and Man City who are currently the strongest teams in the EPL. If in that match Brighton can get a draw or not lose points, I believe that Brighton has a stable consistency and will be successful at the end of the season.
I don't think you get the question, it is not like the dark horse is going to go unbeaten and beat all the big teams, just a team that would surprise everyone and finish in the top four, like Aston Villa did last season and Newcastle in the season before that.
