You can only get a high APR rewards on DeFi through staking of volatile assets. The higher the volatility is the higher the reward they offer which is almost same if you just trade high volatility tokens.

The main issue on Staking volatile assets was your APR earnings might be not enough to cover your loss once your staked balance value was decreased when the token price dump. Most of the staking has lock feature which makes stakers unable to sell their assets during the dump.

Considering this info I always choose trading over high APR staking. I only consider staking if I’m using stable coins for a guaranteed profit without the risk of decreasing my capital value.
