Iirc, back in 2017 (when they were one of the most popular exchanges) Bittrex even had a habit of delisting altcoin if they fail to follow their roadmap so at least they put some effort. Nowadays no one cares, even Coinbase that ahd a very strict reqs.
Like Binance are doing too but have regular reviews to delist coins and tokens is from exchange side, people must have their responsibility to do research, learn and aware risk of altcoins so that they can self-protect their capital better.
Their capital, their responsibility and they can not blame their losses from bad investment or trading decisions on anyone else including exchanges. Additionally, if all centralized exchanges are strict with listing policies or in future will be enforced by laws, regulations from governments to be strict, people will look for 'hidden gems' on decentralized exchanges and again they will lose money.
