It is not easy for Paulo Fonseca to continue from what happened last season, every new coach needs a process to adapt and Paulo Fonseca must start building the AC Milan team from the beginning again so if AC Milan is currently experiencing difficulties I think it is still a natural thing because they are with their new coach
Indeed, the results achieved by AC Milan in several early matches this season are disappointing, it seems to be the opposite of their impressive pre-season results but I am still quite optimistic that Paulo Fonseca can make AC Milan better, maybe everything takes time.
Looking at AC Milan right now, you can see scratches everywhere, from defense to attack. More than anyone, Paulo Fonseca is probably feeling the pressure weighing on his shoulders. But he will continue to develop his team in the future. The opportunity for Paulo Fonseca to turn the situation around is still there. I think he needs to rely on the following 4 stars to make that happen: Alvaro Morata, Emerson Royal, Strahinja Pavlovic, Christian Pulisic.
And Paulo Fonseca needs to make adjustments in these areas: The first adjustment is that the central defender pair Fikayomi Tomori and new signing Strahinja Pavlovic do not coordinate well with each other when the opponent enters the penalty area. Second, the right wing was weak both defensively and offensively. Finally, AC Milan's formation left too many gaps in the middle of the pitch and right in goalkeeper Mike Maignan's penalty area.
At one point I agree with @Farma, Everyone is very frustrated with Fonseca for a shitty start.
I can't deny that they are facing big problems right now, but I think we should give them a little more time.
This is just the start of the season, and expecting them to perform well from the very start is probably something that they have expected, but we all know that at the start of the season, players can be rusty, right?
so let’s not jump to conclusions that the season is going to be bad for them and that’s just give them a chance.
I think we should at least watch till the 10th or 12th match and out of those 12 matches, they are unable to win at least six or seven, then they should be very concerned.
But judging them and the coach just after three matches is definitely a little too harsh.
I think he needs to rely on the following 4 stars to make that happen: Alvaro Morata, Emerson Royal, Strahinja Pavlovic, Christian Pulisic.
You know, Pioli's tactics and Fonseca's tactics are not same,. The main problem here is that the Milan players are not completely loyal to Fonseca. While at Lille all the players were very young so it was very easy for Fonseca to manage them. But in the case of Milan, he has to fight with his star players. Hopefully, he will be able to fully dominate the players during the international break and familiarize them with his tactics.
