I believe that trading is for long-time investment opportunities while staking is more for short-time run. However, you should pay attention to new projects because I considered staking by myself and Ethereum gives only 3%, it makes more sense for me. Yesterday, I run into a project called Waterfall, they offer about 150% APR. If you are interested, you can check: https://waterfall.network/individuals#statistics_block
I'm not interested but I am pretty sure that this 150% APR for that project will eventually change. I think even in staking there's a risk if the choice of staking of yours is like this. The common ones are also the same as the lower risk with less than 10% and that's I think the safe haven for staking. But of course in the long run you'll want to find something more profitable and worth of your time so, that's why you're taking a risk. I am not telling to avoid these projects that have high APRs but always be vigilant and mindful when you choose to invest there and stake your money. They're also volatile as you're staking the token so, even if the APR is quite high but the token doesn't have good liquidity and volume, you'll have to bear with factors like what I mentioned.
