I also think Manchester United fans must be sad to see their support team still not playing well and at the beginning of this season only won 1 time, namely against Fulham with a score of 0-1 and the last 2 matches of course against Brighton and Liverpool Manchester United lost and of course this will definitely make Manchester United fans sad.
Their fans will have more disappointment in this season as I believe their players won't have much better performances and their head coach will struggle to deploy his tactical idea on his players. This season starts to be very tough for Ten Hag and he is facing with big risk of being sacked.

I have no ideas why Manchester United decided to continue with Ten Hag after the end of last season while many people and media predicted that he will lose his job. He luckily got good support and belief from Manchester United but his luckiness might end anytime in this season. Performances at least need to be convincing and results must be acceptable. If Ten Hag gets both of these things bad or one of them is bad, his risk to be sacked is not small.
Maybe Erik Ten Hag's success in presenting the FA Cup title is the reason for management to retain him. I think if that is the reason, it certainly does not match the large investment value that has been disbursed. Of course, anyone would be disappointed if the performance of their favorite team does not experience significant changes. I think it is time for management to give an ultimatum to Ten Hag so that he can improve the team's performance.
Yes, the FA Cup trophy was the reason why Erik Ten Hag was given another opportunity to remain as Manchester United's head coach because Manchester United's management believes Erik Ten Hag would turn things around in Manchester United this season. But from what Erik Ten Hag has shown in the Premier League so far, it seems like Erik Ten Hag would not live up to the expectations of Manchester United management. If Erik Ten Hag fails to deliver a convincing win against Southampton this weekend, his job will be at risk.
