I don't think Dortmund will be a fierce competitor in the Bundesliga title race this season, they have undergone a lot of changes and on the other hand Bundesliga teams like Leverkusen, Leipzig and also Bayern have improved much stronger, it is the opposite of Dortmund so I doubt a little that Dortmund will compete fiercely in the title race especially this season they have a new coach of course every new coach needs to adapt in building a team as well as for Dortmund's new coach this season.
Dortmund remains a team that will compete at the top of the standings despite the many changes that have occurred. I think Dortmund still has a strong DNA in the Bundesliga and they will remain a strong competitor with Bayer Munich, Bayer Leverkusen and maybe Leipzig too.
In the last few seasons, Dortmund has appeared quite impressive under Edin Terzic's coaching, even though they were not able to win the Bundesliga, we can see how Dortmund was able to surprise us by winning the DFB Pokal and also becoming a finalist in the Champions League, but this season significant changes have occurred in the Dortmund squad, including change of coach at the end of last season, Nuri Sahin is not an experienced coach although he previously coached Antalyaspor in the Turkish league, I think he will have great difficulty facing competition in the Bundesliga although so far they are still on a positive path in the league, in my opinion although Dortmund has always had the DNA of competitors in the Bundesliga, but currently the rise of several other teams in the Bundesliga will of course be a factor that makes it difficult for Dortmund to be able to compete as a challenger for the title, but even so I hope that Dortmund this season can surprise us by being able to win champion trophy after so long they failed to get it.
