This is a hot topic, the relationship between theymos and satoshi is not a domain of public information, and is better that way because we respect theymos, what he has done for the community is invaluable, and if satoshi decide to be anonymous we all respect that side.
Yeah, that issue has popped up in my mind occasionally over the years, but since I value anonymity very highly and respect others' right to it, I never put my hand to my chin and gave it any deep thought. What I have wondered about way more frequently is how nobody has apparently been able to identify Satoshi in this day and age--it seems impossible that someone could disappear without a trace like he did, and I'm pretty sure at least one government would be very interested in finding him, and probably way more than one.
