No doubt but I guarantee Man United will not touch position 2 in the final standings this season. Because it is too difficult to step over Arsenal and Liverpool. So there is no guarantee whatsoever for the Red Devils who are stumbling without direction in every match. The most maximum thing for Man United is to occupy position 5 or 6 at the end of the season. I am not underestimating them but considering the fact that the depth of Man United squad and the front line are not sharp, this club is unable to take advantage of every opportunity that exists. This weekend we will see them against Southampton even though on paper Man United has a high chance, it is not a guarantee that 3 points can be obtained easily.

I would say top four is not possible for them at the moment. I think City and Arsenal and Liverpool will be the best three again, and some other team could be fourth as well, which would be fine but I think United won't be that team, they do not look good enough to be that team. This is why I believe that we are not going to see them be in the fourth place. They need to get much better, I do not know what is the exact issue why they are playing badly, but we need to give them some more time to make a judgement, and it's too early in the season to make that judgement just yet.
Chelsea seems like they are even worse in my opinion, so at least United is doing better than them. Plus United has some players missing, after the injured players returns, maybe they will get better results as well.
