Arsenal will most likely be missing their skipper Martin Odegaard in their first EPL North London derby campaign this season with Tottenham after the Norwegian midfielder was befallen with an ankle sprain injury during their game on Monday against Austria in the UEFA nation's league. Source predicts that the span of the injury could take weeks to have him back to field. This means Arsenal would be faced with the challenge of coping with his absence in the midfield while waiting his recovery. What a debacle for the Gunners in the starting of a new season.
source Just like last season we have become accustomed to seeing several players returning with injuries in international breaks. And of course this is very bad news for Arsenal considering that Martin Odegaard has an important role in the Arsenal team. With this he had to be absent for several weeks. But fortunately it wasn't a more serious injury that would keep him out for longer. But still we know Odegaard is a very important player in Arteta's plans. So I'm starting to feel sorry for Arsenal right now. Arteta is trying to take this team to a better level but now one of the cogs of their team has to rest due to injury and Arsenal may be competing without Odegaard for a while. I hope he recovers quickly.
