I personally will not always be fixated only on Ancelotti who managed to get five Champions League trophies because after all, Ancelotti also only succeeded when he was the manager of top teams like Real Madrid and Milan. But, when Ancelotti became the manager of other middle teams and some were also still top teams in different leagues, but in reality Ancelotti did not even succeed in improving the quality of the team in other teams in different leagues. Therefore, I think whether Real Madrid will succeed or not in the Champions League this season, it still seems to prioritize team performance first and cannot rely on just a few parties or players.

But indeed, when it comes to the Champions League and Real Madrid it is like something that is difficult to separate. Because after all, even though Real Madrid did not have good results in the domestic league but in fact, Real Madrid always managed to get good results in the Champions League and even, managed to get the trophy too. But I think this season might be more difficult,  because with the implementation of the new format then of course it will make teams like Real Madrid also get different challenges, so there is still no guarantee for Real Madrid to succeed this season.
