To build a stronger team is not easy because the coach must have a special strategy and maybe what happened at PSG was because they were given too much trust in star players. After Luis Enrique came everything was different and he did not privilege one of the players in the team so what happened was that the PSG squad became better than before. Nothing is instant because it takes a lot of things to drive a club's success, as Pep Guardiola did at Manchester City.

For the competition in Ligue 1, PSG is still a strong competitor whose dominance is difficult to break by other teams. If management gives time and lets Luis Enrique find the players he needs, it is not impossible that in the next few seasons they will become one of the candidates for the Champions League title.
Now there are no longer any special players in the PSG squad and it is clearly easier for Luis Enrique to get the best approach in implementing game strategy. Previously, PSG had Kylian Mbappe, who was actually the golden boy of this club, so it was only natural that PSG management asked each coach to prioritize the player by giving him a lot of trust and freedom.

Any team that has a golden boy in its squad tends to rely on that one player. The coach builds the game around the player and he is the target man when it comes to scoring goals. In Manchester City's case, Haaland is the target man who has been the most prolific bomber so far, but I don't think PSG has that right now. In my impression, PSG is better off without gold because this can give their coach the freedom to rotate when needed.
