There is no middle class mentioned in the OP but there are still people on that bracket who can spend recklessly. And, it doesn't depend on other factors that you mentioned there. Even though we are living on a cheap country, there will still be people who will value their money more, and then there are still people who will try hard only to spend more in an expensive country.
