I wonder what Ten Hag is still doing in Manchester United as their coach when he has underperformed in his ability to carry all the players along particularly the star players signed into the club. It was not a misfortune that Ronaldo could not perform as much as he could have done when he was at the Man U team earlier. The difference is, during the time of Sir Alex Ferguson, he got a more flourishing ground to play and exercise his skills in delivering the club. When he later came back for the second time, Erik Ten Hag could not manage Ronaldo to his best, hence the low performance experienced in the club.
I always remember what many people said about Ten Hag since the first season he arrived at Manchester United. At that time, Ten Hag didn't give Cristiano Ronaldo much playing time at Manchester United. We know that there has been a lot of criticism coming at Ten Hag. And this criticism includes saying that Ten Hag is actually a great coach but he cannot differentiate between how to manage a club that has many star players and a big club that does not have many star players. While at Ajax he coached a big club there, but we know that at Ajax there were not many star players like at Manchester United. But Ajax can be said to be a club that grows ordinary players to become star players. Meanwhile, at Manchester United, we know that this team is no longer a place to grow new potential to become star players, but at Manchester United, it is a club that is already full of star players who just have to make good use of it by the coach. Ten Hag still applies the same coaching style as at the previous club. He equates how to train star players with ordinary players. So the players at Manchester United seem to be under pressure and not playing optimally. Many blunders happened that they usually didn't make in the previous team. Like the latest blunder from Casemiro. even though we know that Casemiro at Real Madrid was an extraordinary player. but when he came to Manchester United we know what Casemiro's game has become. And all of this is most likely because there is a reason that makes this player play like he is uncomfortable there. And I think it's because of their coaches.
To be honest, Ten Hag seems more suited to coaching a team that brings in a lot of potential young players like Chelsea than being the coach of Manchester United which always brings in star players.
