It is only natural that gambling can attract many people, because there is indeed an opportunity to get profit, this is what makes many people gamble with those who are tempted by the profits in gambling, I think they have been hypnotized by thinking that they can get big profits just by gambling while the profits in gambling are not certain to be obtained and with those who think they can get profit will only experience addiction which makes them trapped and tends to be difficult to get out.

There is a chance of getting profit from gambling, but the odds are so low that it's basically the same as zero in terms of math.
But our human minds are really bad at calculating probabilities natively, that is, without maths. We are great at doing Newtonian physics in our minds, say calculating the angle and force to throw a rock to hit something, we don't need math for that. But probabilities is our weak spot.
Casinos obviously know this and they do all they can to basically make it seem like it's a good deal when in reality the odds are against the gambler.
