I think some of the many people who gamble out there do gamble as a hobby and have reasonable limits that are set.
We do hear this often times.
Everyone who gambles for money will be disappointed because it's unlikely that they'll hit their goal on a daily basis and compare it with their daily rate from their employment or jobs.
That's why, gamble only with the aim of having it as a hobby and to have fun. Limits should also be there and don't gamble with what you cannot afford to lose. It'll make you crazy when you lose it and you'll get into that cycle that you'll have hard time to break.
The goal in gambling can be different. Someone plays gambling for the sake of winning, someone to pass their free time, someone just enjoys the process of playing. As long as the gambler has such goals gambling can be called a hobby. As soon as a gambler sets a goal to win back the lost money, then gambling is no longer a hobby because it is already an addiction. Get rid of the addiction can be, but not the fact that gambling can again become a hobby, because the restrictions in gambling very much reduce not only the risks, but also positive emotions.
Agreed, the purpose of someone entering the world of gambling has different views as you have mentioned above and each individual also has characteristics where they carry out the gambling, what I mean is I have seen someone who entered a gambling place besides wanting to find entertainment he was also very brave to bet large amounts of money, strangely when he had lost 2x he did not immediately stop just like that, instead he became more confident to continue gambling, I don't know what was in his mind at that time.
However, for me personally, the experience of other gamblers will be very valuable for me to try as much as possible not to make mistakes that will make my life miserable, playing reasonably and not excessively, maybe that's a safe step.
