Liverpool could not perform well last season which made them helpless to be defeated by Aalanta, but at that time Atalanta was indeed in very good condition to become champions, because of that, maybe Klopp is no longer with Liverpool today.
Roma indeed can't do anything, it seems like even in the Seria league they don't get a good game, and tend to experience a decline after Maurinho left.
But we haven't seen the entire match meeting in the League now, because the Underdog is also still in question, we only speculate from what we see in their respective domestic league matches.
Last season Liverpool lost their balance towards the end of the season, and it was right around the time they were going to face Atalanta. If I remember correctly, before they faced Atalanta they also experienced a decline in performance and even that continued until they also lost their position in the competition for the Premier League title. At first they were quite promising, but we never know what a team will experience, and that's what Liverpool experienced last season, right towards the end of the season. Atalanta is a team that has a chance, but when compared to Liverpool, their chances are actually not greater than what Liverpool has. But that's football, sometimes superiority on paper is not a guarantee for a team.
What you said is right because I also witnessed Liverpool's decline last season in the Premier League which caused them to weaken in the Europa League too even though I thought Liverpool wanted to focus more on the Europa League to get the trophy here because they looked the strongest among the other contestants but it turned out I was wrong they focused on all competitions to win both trophies because they were equally important, but unfortunately Liverpool could not maintain their consistency and if I'm not mistaken after Jurgen Kloop made his statement that he wanted to leave at the end of last season that might be one of the reasons Liverpool's performance was not optimal and the players felt they had lost the father figure who had guided them for almost 10 years.
But now they are not playing in the Europa League and it seems they are starting to find chemistry with their new coach.
