I just wrote that about 9 hours ago they published the announcement on twitter, publishing the source, that's all, no mention of speed or anything else.
If they publish the announcement on Twitter they are far more likely to respect it IMO because lots of people will spam their twitter account asking when it will be done if they take too much time for fixing it. So we have the right to be optimistic regarding this issue now IMO. I guess it's a matter of days or a couple of week otherwise they wouldn't make such announcement.
