Both are very risky, I might not choose both and will be more likely to hold because I have full power over my coins.
Staking is very good at the beginning of the emergence of Crypto because you only need to put it in your wallet and open the wallet the price of the time is not as volatile as it is now that you can benefit when selling it, while staking stablecoin is currently at risk of loss when the platform where we put it bankrupt , trading is only easy to calculate, those who do not have patience will easily panic and sell in a loss.
Both trading and staking are risky and can cause capital loss at the end but journeys to loss are different with Trading and Staking.
With Trading, you are actively with your trading activities and lose your capital through your active trading. The more active you are in trading, a higher risk to lose your capital. It's active loss.
With Staking, you are passively stake your coin and earn staking reward but meanwhile, there is passive impermanent loss by bad design of tokenomics and staking APRs that are usually crazy high. It's passive loss.
I can sum up Trading and Staking as Active vs Passive loss, but the ending is quite similar with loss.
