No... I think it is the people themselves that rescue themselves by taking advantage of Bitcoin volatility and growth.  Bitcoin won't be able to rescue anyone unless these people invest their time and money in improving their financial status.  Since Bitcoin is a new industry, it offers lots of things that can give people benefits, but it is up to the people to use Bitcoin to improve their status in life.  If Bitcoin is the one rescuing the families and individuals then why does those people who does not partake in  Bitcoin activities are still in poverty?

If we want money, and food on the table and to escape poverty, we need to work, we need to labor. Meanwhile, bitcoin is just money, a means of payment, an investment and to be able to receive it, we need to work or need money to invest in it. It is not created and distributed for free to everyone, people have to exchange their money to get it, so how can we say that bitcoin is helping many people improve their lives or helping to improve the economy. People are saving themselves and bitcoin is the vehicle they choose because they believe in its potential and they have good plans with it.

Bitcoin is inanimate, a tool like many others and it can only help us if we know how to use and leverage it properly. It cannot stand up and go around the world to help the poor or help improve the economy just by applying it because it does not create jobs, it cannot help improve the GDP of a country.
