Does wearing of expensive cloths, shoes and other expensive things a sign of being poor? Or does it mean the rich doesn't wear expensive things or doesn't leave a luxurious lifestyle?

I think it depends on the people's fashion,because there are also rich people who wear expensive things,and there are poor who that didn't want to look like a rich, although most of the poor wanted to look like rich but still there are poor who didn't want to waste thier hard earn money to buy expensive thing to look like a rich in the eye of the crowd. So it depends on fashion and the decisions of the people because we have different status in life.
