Just encountered this news - "DuckDuckGo blocked in Indonesia over ..., gambling search results." which has dropped a bomb on me. I have never been in this country and always thought it is loyal to gambling. But it seems to be not. How does the matter lie at present? I wonder this because of my plans to visit Indonesia for a couple of weeks and when visiting countries for the first time  I commonly show myself  round the local casinos.
In Indonesia, gambling is a prohibited activity because the majority of its people are Muslim, making Indonesia not allow gambling, but on the other hand, even though it is prohibited, there are still people who gamble, whether it is physical or online gambling, but what is clear is that currently the most popular is online gambling. Some cases that have occurred are that some people were caught by the authorities for openly promoting online gambling sites with their social media accounts, but this incident did not deter people because many still do it, I am sure of this right. I think there are no local casinos available in Indonesia, even if there are I think they are in hidden places, because if there is a local casino that is open it can cause quite serious conflicts because it is against the law.
