As for Magnesium, i don't tolerate Citrate well, i get the shits from a normal dose, as with all minerals bound to Citrate, as well as Citric Acid.
Oh! So it might be just the citrate form. I take magnesium in summertime to prevent cramps, but noticing the bowel stimulation, I sometimes take it for that too when needed.
Incidentally, citrate tastes like sh**. Are other salts better?
Every other salt is better, honestly, with the exception of -carbonate. It's industrial trash, but it's tolerated well by the intestines.
It's important where the Mg should "go", citrate is the form which is buillding up Mg levels inside muscles. I had a YT link somewhere that explained the different types of Mg and how they work. It's from "Dr. Eric Berg", a Vitamin D3 enthusiast. You should easily find it. I take Mg-Glycinate to build up body Mg reserves.
