I was surprised with seeing Atletico Madrid lose points last night. Actually they scored the equalizer quite early in the second half. But there was still no goal in the remaining half...

Simeone continues to give Alvarez lots of chances to see his improvement. But unfortunately he couldn't make any impact on the game despite playing for the whole game. But he scored against Valencia previously so I hope he will get better slowly. I don't know maybe it is better to start with Griezmann instead while he is in a much better shape. Alvarez entered in the second half of the Valencia game and still scored in the end.
Atletico Madrid are always not good at getting much goals but they have been good at equalizing and ending in a draw, that's their trade mark of last season and I think they can't stop doing that. If it was them that was leading by a goal to nil I don't think they would have bothered to get the second goal. They have been on this pattern for long, if they score 2 goals they are definitely going to win that game but if the opponent are the ones leading by a goal to nil ATM will struggle to equalize, you see them setting for a draw, which is too bad.
Alvarez is been given that chances he was asking for at Manchester City but he is not using it to his own advantage and it will look like he's not good for the ATM or doesn't have anything to offer to the team. To me I won't blame him but the club he moved to because they don't have that flexibility to even make opponent struggle while they dominate the game, which means he's finding it hard to work with the style of play ATM are using to operate, it would be hard for him to start performing with this team and if care is not taken he might be left out of the squad which will force him to seek of a loan move, ATM pattern doesn't suit him at all.
