What's interesting to me now is that Kompany has risen to the occasion and is doing everything possible to keep Bayern Munich at the top. When he was appointed many really thought that it will take him a season or two to adapt, but that has not been the case as he has blended immediately and making the league more interesting to watch.
I think we really have to give it to Vincent Kompany he deserves some respect for casting all of the doubts many fans had about him becoming the Munich head coach. With the way he has handled the team since his arrival to the club we can see some improvement with this Bayern team which is why Xabi Alonso side would really have to double the quality of their game to be able to withstand Bayern Munich's rebound. We still have interesting times ahead though.
Bayern Munich performance under Kompany control is clearly beyond normal reason, because at the end of last season, he failed to save Burnley from relegation. Kompany was not actually the main choice to replace Thomas Tuchel, previously top names had been contacted such as Xabi Alonso, Julian Nagelsmann and Hansi Flick, but they rejected the offer. The decision to choose Kompany has proven to be the right one (at least for now), Bayern under his guidance has turned into a very ferocious team, in the last 3 matches they have managed to score 20 goals.
