You don't go into gambling expecting to make bank from this activity. I understand that it can happen, but it's just not the right mindset in my own personal view. And even if you keep playing, it's not realistic at all to expect to keep winning all the time.
Even if it's just sports betting, playing poker or plain old luck based gambling... Chances are, you'll be a loser sometime.
But it must also be pointed out that at least to some extent OP is right. As overt emotion doesn't help do almost anything with the right mindset. So anyone wanting to try gambling they must know to limit themselves and not go overboard with money they can't afford to lose. Being too emotional surely doesn't help.
I've come to realize that people don't enter Gambling with the right mindsets and that's why they find it difficult to adapt to the anxiety and distress that it generates afterwards.
Gambling is filled with lots of emotions; there's the emotion for fun/enjoyment, relief, winnings, socializing, there's also the emotion for desperation and theft..😁
The emotions are sometimes what springs up unexpected losses and that's why you need to master and manage your emotions to improve your overall gambling experiences.
You can achieve that if you set clear self regulations limits for yourself,if you recognize when your emotions are taking over you and resist it.
People do only realize when its too late or the damage has already been done into them on which it would really be that resulting into those unfortunate conditions on which it will really be putting
them into those hardship on which it is really just that normal that normal that you would really be facing up such conditions. When doing gambling then you should really be doing it just for the sake
of fun and never make yourself having those kind of false hopes or into those things that you've been thinking that you could really be able to make money from it, because on the time or moment that you do find yourself having those kind of mindset or impressions then you would really be finding yourself into those addiction problems or issues.
