Today Guardiola announced that Rodri is out for the rest of the season, his injury was much more serious, problems with his miniscus, this morning he had surgery. Guardiola is upset and says that they don’t have such a player now, but City need to learn to win without Rodri, I think I heard something similar last season about De Bruyne when he was injured. Gundogan is back in City, there is De Bruyne and Silva. Newcastle need to be beaten, they are not the most difficult team in the Premier League for City.
Rodri and De Bruyne seem to be out for quite a while based on my reference sources, but City still have other players to replace them. They have Silva, Kovacic and Gundohan, or Foden who will be rotated. There are still other names for Pep to formulate his strategy against Newcastle in tomorrow's match. Moreover, even though they are playing away and some of their main players are absent, City are still far superior to the home team. It is clear that City's chances of getting points in this match are very big. But it's not football if the results can be predicted or known for sure, when the match is running in normal time anything can happen. Perhaps, Eddie Howe will formulate his tactics based on the City vs Arsenal match. Nothing is impossible, although theoretically City is always favored. We'll just have to see when this match is held, hopefully Newcastle will put up a fierce fight so that the match is worth enjoying when we watch it.
