Rodri is going to be out for the remainder of the season due to his ACL injury. Rodri is an important piece to Pep Guardiola’s game plan. His long absence will affect the team’s performance but I don’t think it will affect Manchester City title race this season. Manchester City have the money and will buy replacement in January. I believe Pep is playing mind games with his recent comments.
Pep Guardiola is very good at playing mind games so that he doesn't take too many blames at the end of results doesn't go his way. The Spanish manager have been doing that over the years and it's been working for him. There's no doubting the fact that Rodri have been one of clubs best players in that last four seasons but to say that his absence is enough to stop City from winning the league title this season I think is a joke taken too far.
