City leading 1-0 at Newcastle, it hasn’t been easy for them though, Newcastle are still right in this game. Should be a really competitive 2nd half. Hopefully Newcastle can take points off Man City here, if they really push hard.
The match has entered the 80th minute and will soon end, the temporary score is still 1-1, although Man City had the lead in the first half, Newcastle was able to equalize through a penalty in the second half, in this half Pep brought in several midfielders and attackers, the remaining minutes must be used by Man City to score at least one more goal from the match, it is clear that Man City wants full points, they dominate and Newcastle continues to maintain its defense.
Manchester City team tried hard to win this match but could not succeed in any way, Earling Haaland scored with a header at the end of the game. But Newcastle's goalkeeper failed as he was very experienced as Manchester City came under heavy attack in the final extra minutes and he saved every attack with ease.
But Newcastle's players earned a point largely through strategy, as they fended off a wide range of attacks in the closing stages. It's very sad that Manchester City team player Haaland couldn't score in this match despite trying hard, so the performance of Manchester City team players is much worse compared to Newcastle team.
I feel the performance by the Manchester City side towards the end of the game was far better because they had a lot of chances and where putting more pressure on Newcastle, Manchester City was literally playing Newcastle half field, Haaland had a header around 95+ which which if he had headed that ball to the far corner of the bar, it would have been a wonderful goal. The ability for Newcastle to sustain that pressure and not allow Manchester City score that late minute goal is what I give them kudos for, as their defense was really top-notch.
